How We Help

NH Connections’ Facilitators work with individual schools/school districts and/or Parent Leaders to develop a plan for support that will meet their individual needs and goals for building and maintaining family-school partnerships in special education.  This includes:

  • Meeting facilitation including  facilitation of action planning and on-going support for implementation
  • Providing resources, tools and best practice strategies for improving family-school partnerships
  • Parent Leadership Training
  • Support in developing Parent Partnership Groups
  • Support in understanding and using the Parent Involvement in Special Education Survey (Indicator 8) to improve partnerships
  • Round Table discussions and networking opportunities around issues of family-school partnerships in special education
  • Staff development training on partnership development
